What will appear on the exam: Below is a list of problems. The final exam will consist of a very proper subset of it.

Problem session 3: Fri 3–3:50pm in 145 Altgeld Hall
Homework will be assigned every week by Friday evening and it will consist of 6–8 problems. The submission of homework will be done as follows. The students will have to write up their solutions and submit their write-ups to Elliot Kaplan in the weekly problem sessions, during which they will also be asked to present at least one solution on the board. The presentations must be very short (5–7 minutes), explaining only the main idea of the solution rather than its details.
To accommodate everyone in class, there will be two problem sessions held every Tuesday at different times (see above for times and rooms). Each student has to go to one of these sessions, whichever fits their schedule better. It is also OK to go to both.
