Cal II (Winter 2012)
Marks
Cal II Marks
The final marks are finally posted.
("Final" means the mark I'll submit to the college - let me know if
you think an error has been made.)
Congratulations to all who managed to survive the course(!)
(in spite of a few disappointing exam marks - the tight gap between classes
and the exam took its toll, sadly).
But you were a good bunch this term. Have a good and well-earned vacation.
NOTE: The average on my webpage is the average of all marks in
the class, without any manipulation. The average the college posts has
some manipulating done to it, following guidelines from Quebec. I am
not sure about the details, but I think they do not count very low
marks in the average, which would account for the
discrepancy. Certainly, the calculation of the average on my website
has no official status, and is never seen by the college. Equally, I
never see the results of their calculation.

Practice Assignments and Tests
Some practice for Test 1 (Feb 15th 2012):
Some Integrals

(We'll have a short quiz in class before the test - the questions
will be like these.)

Test 1 (PDF format) (Lots and lots of practice! - and no, answers
will not be provided online, but you can ask me if you are not certain
of your work)
Practice Test 1a (Some practice trig integrals, somehow missing from
Practice Test 1.)
Another Practice
Test 1 (PDF format) (This one represents an actual past test, indicating
the length and format to expect)
[Answers]
Some practice for Test 2 (Mar 28th 2012):
Highly recommended (!!! - practice for integration):
Strategy
for integration (Supplement to the text, including exercises with
full solutions)

Test 2 [No answers are provided; I have posted other
practice sets with answers.]
Another Practice
Test 2 (PDF format) (This one simulates an "enhanced" - more integrals - past
test, indicating the length - though it's a bit too long - and format to expect)
Graphs:[5a]

[Answers]
The real test will also have an arc length question.
Some practice for Test 3 (May 2nd 2012):
Warm up for series:
Playing around with series
Update:
I've altered this file to now include "answers" - or at least
indicators as to which of the series converge and which diverge.
You should look again at these series, and determine if they
converge or diverge, using the convergence tests you've learned.
Highly recommended (!!! - practice for series):
