Research Interest

I work on the theory and methods of statistical machine learning and uncertainty quantification, with a focus on biomedicine and drug discovery:

  • Statistical machine learning

  • High-dimensional inference

  • Uncertainty quantification and reliable AI

  • Computational statistics and scalable algorithms

  • Biomedical, biochemical data science

  • AI for drug discovery

Join the Group

I work with curious, motivated graduate and undergraduate students at the intersection of statistics, machine learning, and AI for science.

If you are interested in joining my group at McGill and Mila as a research assistant:

  • Email me with your CV and transcripts.

  • You should be comfortable coding in Python and/or R.

  • A solid background in statistics / machine learning / data science (theory and computation) is expected.

  • Positions are typically 1–2 years, with details discussed individually.

Mila applicants:

After submitting your supervision request to Mila, you must also complete a separate application process at McGill university. Please keep in mind that you will have to attend the university with which your advisor is affiliated. See here for details.

Visiting scholars and students whose research interests align with mine are also welcome to get in touch.
