Selected Exercises
You should try the
Selected Exercises
from the Course Outline, to be sure you understand the required
concepts in order to master (i.e. pass!) the course.
Don't rely on the WeBWorK and quizzes alone. If you don't do all the
exercises (I "get" that!), then be sure to at least do a
"representative" sampling (at least one of each type). Then focus on
those you don't "get"!

Login Page (for the WW assignments)
(Use your student number as username and password the first time you log in,
and change your password immediately. Let me know of any problems, including
trouble with login.)
Check WeBWorK regularly to see new assignments (and dates!) as they
appear. (Check opening and closing dates carefully!)
Don't wait till the last minute to do an assignment - there won't be
time then to ask for help if you have difficulty!
(There are no extensions just because you "didn't know when
it was closing"!)
Practice Assignments and Tests
If you are having trouble with certain ideas or techniques in the
course, you can (in addition to asking me) look for on-line help, so
you can review topics at your own pace. There are many
websites, including videos, (google/youtube "learning basic algebra" for example);
here's one to start with.
Assignments
All the sets above, but particularly
(9-11) are practice for Quiz 7 and for Test 4.
Practice Tests
Review In-class Assignments
These questions all come from old final exams - they are a
partly-but-not-entirely-random selection - and you may find the
answers on-line in my
"old final exams" webpage.
We'll do (some of) these problems in class, one sheet per day, as
preparation for the final make-up quizzes and for the final exam.
They are intended to give a rough review of the course - but look at
full old
final exams to be sure you don't miss anything!
Assuming time permits, I will have some short "make-up quizzes" in
class - each one based on the type of questions in the corresponding
review assignment. (Marks on these will be treated as "bonus marks"
on your Quiz Mark total.)
