I am always on the lookout for new PhD students (Canadian or International) and Masters Students (more often Canadian, as funding streams for international masters students are more restricted) to work on projects in mathematical biology or delay differential equations. My biomathematical models are differential equation based, so most students get to combine elements of mathematical modelling in biology, together with the study of delay differential equations. The tools we use include mathematical modelling, (delay) differential equations, dynamical systems and numerical computation and analysis. Depending on the particular project you can also expect to spent some time reading and digesting the relevant primary scientific literature in physiology or biology. I can supervise students in Mathematics and Statistics, Quantitative Life Sciences, and Physiology. Potential graduate students must follow the application procedure as detailed on the appropriate websites at but I would also be very happy to hear from you directly.

Potential postdocs whose research interests intersect with mine are encouraged to apply to the CRM-ISM Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme, but should also contact me directly if intending to name me as a potential supervisor. Note that the closing date is typically in December of the year before the fellowship is to start.

Undergraduates interested in (funded!) summer research should see my USRA Projects page.
