Events
Here are some of the events we plan:
- Friday 5pm teatime,
- End of semester department dinners,
- Pizza seminars,
- Integration bee,
- The occasional hike.
The main one, and the one I really recommend to all graduate students and postdocs to join, is teatime every Friday at 5pm, in the lounge (room 1024/1025). We have some great sweet and savoury snacks, we chat and we play board games. Everyone is really friendly (as far as mathematicians go) so come and have some free snacks!
Pizza seminars
Every Thursday of the month at 4pm in the lounge, we have pizza seminars, which is a great opportunity for students to get practice with presenting in front of a crowd. It's also a chance to see what your friends do in their work, which is always really fun to see. And if that doesn't convince you, there's free pizza! Click here to get more information about that!
