The main focus of my research is in analysis and applied mathematics, with focus on:
- analysis of problems arising in materials science and in image reconstruction
- analysis of geometric minimization problems using measure theoretical tools
Some research topics include:
- mathematical models in thin films and liquid crystals,
- variational approach to image processing
- pattern formation and crystallization in energy minimization problems,
- measure theoretical approach to geometric minimization problems
The main techniques are from the theory of partial differential equations, calculus of variations, and geometric measure theory.
