Course Description
- Calendar Description: Review of matrix algebra, solution of linear equations, triangular factorization and gaussian reduction, vector spaces, inner products, orthogonality concepts, projections, least squares, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, diagonalization of matrices and quadratic forms, Cayley-Hamilton Theorem, the exponential matrix, analytical and numerical techniques for solving linear systems of ordinary differential equations, non-linear equations and stability.

- Syllabus
: The course will cover selected material in Chapters 1-10 as per the calendar description.
- Tutorials:
Students are strongly urged to attend the tutorials. The purpose of the tutorials is to do additional problems, conduct reviews, and allow students to ask additional questions about course material.
- Assignments:
There will be 6 assignments.
- Class Tests:
There will be two class tests.
- Grading Scheme:
Class tests (20%), Assignments (10%), Final Exam (70%)
