- PREREQUISITES: MATH 141 and a familiarity with vector geometry or Corequisite: MATH 133.
- SYLLABUS:
- Infinite Sequences and Series (MC: Ch. 12; ET Ch. 11) (9 lectures)
- Vectors and the Geometry of Space (MC: Ch. 13; ET: Ch. 12) (Review material, introduced as needed)
- Vector Functions (MC: Ch. 14; ET: Ch. 13) (9 lectures)
- Partial Derivates (MC: Ch. 15; ET: Ch. 14) (9 lectures)
- Multiple Integrals (MC: Ch. 16; ET: Ch. 15) (9 lectures)
- ASSIGNMENTS: There will be weekly web-based assignments and 3 written assignments. The assignments will count for 15% of the final grade.
- MIDTERM TEST: There will be no midterm test.
- FINAL EXAM: There will be a three hour final exam; no calculators
will be allowed. The final exam will count for 85% of the final grade.
- SUPPLEMENTAL EXAM: Students obtaining a D or an F are eligible for a Supplemental Exam to be held in the spring; applications are to be made to the Arts and Science Faculty.
