- Tutorials: There is a weekly one-hour optional tutorial starting the week of Sept 8. The tutorial instructors will answer questions and help with problems, do additional problems and give additional motivation for the course. It is essential that you register in one of the tutorials as written assignments will be marked and returned by the tutorial instructors. Your assignments must have the tutorial instructors name and section on the front page along with your name and ID number, all clearly printed.
- WeBWorK assignments: These weekly assignments will be available on the Web
and will be answered on the Web. Your WebWorK assignments are at
http://msr01.math.mcgill.ca/webwork/m133f03 if your student number ends with an odd digit and
http://msr02.math.mcgill.ca/webwork/m133f03 if your student number ends with an even digit. The initial login/password
is your 9 digit student number. Please change your password
the first time you log in.
If you experience technical problems with WeBWorK please contact the
administrator at wwadmin@math.mcgill.ca.
There are eleven assignments. Missed assignments cannot be redone.
The WeBWorK assignments are worth 15% of your grade.
Additional information about WeBWorK assignments.
- Written assignments: There will be 6 written assignments, each consisting of a single problem. These problems will be marked by the tutorial instructors. They are worth 5% of your grade. These assignments must be returned in the tutorials the week they are due or by 1pm in the assignment slot at the math office on the 10th floor of Burnside Hall.
- Tests: There will be two take-home tests. They are worth 5% of your grade.

- Help Desk:

encouraged to make use of this resource.
- Academic Integrity : For your success in this course it is essential that the work that you submit in assignments and tests is your own. Because the webwork problems are numerically different for each student you can consult others if you are having difficulties as long as you work with a version of the problem which is different from your own.
Copying of any kind will not be tolerated. McGill University values academic integrity. Therefore all students must understand the meaning and consequences of cheating, plagiarism and other academic offences under the Code of Student Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures (see www.mcgill.ca/integrity for more information).
