My research interests are : Feature selection in high dimensional problems. Statistical inference, model selection, and applications of: Finite mixture models, Regression mixture models, and Mixture-of-experts models. Hidden Markov Models and their applications in genetics and engineering. Time series modeling: Statistical inference and model selection in mixture of autoregressive processes, ARCH and GARCH models and their applications. Measurement error problems in mixture regression models. Statistical methodology in Analyzing Epigenetics Data. Research projects are available for outstanding students toward a Master or PhD degree.
