Title: Lessons Learned from Nearly Two Decades(!) Imaging and Modeling Blood Flow Speaker: David A. Steinman Biomedical Simulation Lab University of Toronto Abstract: In 1989 I began PhD work on the simulation of blood flow in idealized bypass graft geometries. Since then, my computational studies of hemodynamic factors in vascular disease have shifted steadily towards a clinical imaging viewpoint. In this talk I will focus less on the methods and results of those studies, and more on how they have shaped the way I think about the role of modeling in transitioning hemodynamics research from bench to bedside.
