Giovanna Carnevale is an artist living in Montréal. She is well known as a sculptor, painter, potter, and jewelry maker. As well, she has written as an art critic for several Canadian magazines, and works part time teaching English to adults.
Giovanna was born in a small town fifty kilometers south of Rome, Italy. She moved with her family to Canada in 1959, completed a BA in linguistics at Marianopolis College, did graduate work in theoretical linguistics at McGill University, and then a BA in art history before turning to creative arts.
