Assignments

The bi-weekly assignments are an essential part of the course. You should plan to devote at least ten hours a week (and quite possibly more) to the assignments.
If you are stuck on a problem, you may seek out the help of one of the TA's, the professor, or one of your classmates. It is OK to work on the assignments in groups, although you should hand them in individually. Do not neglect the assignments: there is a strong correlation between the work you put into them and how well you will do in the exams.
The assignments are typically due on Mondays and will be graded and returned to you on the following week. Late assignments will not be accepted.

  1. Assignment 1. Due: Monday, January 15.
  2. Assignment 2. Due: Monday, January 29.
  3. Assignment 3. Due: Monday, February 12.
  4. Assignment 4. Due: Monday, February 26.
  5. Assignment 5. Due: Monday, March 12.
  6. Assignment 6. Due: Monday, March 26.
  7. Assignment 7. Due: Monday, April 2.
Note that you only have one week to do Assignment 7! However it will be shorter than the assignments for which you were given two weeks.
