# Seminar on Iwasawa Theory

**Professor:** Adrian Iovita

**TA:** Henri Darmon

**Classes: ** M 10:30- 12:30.

** Seminar: ** M 2:30-3:30.

**Room: ** Concordia LB .

**Outline**:

The seminar will be devoted to a discussion of "main conjectures" for modular
elliptic curves with special emphasis on:

Recent work of Greenberg, Iovita, Kobayashi,
and Pollack on the main conjecture of
Iwasawa theory
for elliptic curves
at supersingular primes.

Work of Bertolini and Darmon on the main conjecture of Iwasawa theory
for elliptic curves and anti-cyclotomic **Z**_{p}-extensions,
following the article

*Iwasawa's Main Conjecture
for Elliptic Curves over Anticyclotomic Z*_{p}--extensions.
(dvi,
ps).

One of the goals (and a unifying theme)
of the seminar will be to supply a proof of
(at least one divisibility in)
the main conjecture
of Iwasawa theory for elliptic curves in the anti-cyclotomic setting
at supersingular primes.
