Seminar on Iwasawa Theory

Professor: Adrian Iovita
TA: Henri Darmon

Classes: M 10:30- 12:30.
Seminar: M 2:30-3:30.
Room: Concordia LB .

Outline:

The seminar will be devoted to a discussion of "main conjectures" for modular elliptic curves with special emphasis on:

  • Recent work of Greenberg, Iovita, Kobayashi, and Pollack on the main conjecture of Iwasawa theory for elliptic curves at supersingular primes. For references to this topic, and for course assignments, click here.

  • Work of Bertolini and Darmon on the main conjecture of Iwasawa theory for elliptic curves and anti-cyclotomic Zp-extensions, following the article

Iwasawa's Main Conjecture for Elliptic Curves over Anticyclotomic Zp--extensions. (dvi, ps).

  • One of the goals (and a unifying theme) of the seminar will be to supply a proof of (at least one divisibility in) the main conjecture of Iwasawa theory for elliptic curves in the anti-cyclotomic setting at supersingular primes.
