Revisions to the course outline (Fall 2012)

• Test 3, originally scheduled for Oct 26, is cancelled. In its place is an essay assignment, due by email on Oct 22 Oct 26th.
• Tests 4 and 5 (now called Tests 3 and 4) remain as scheduled, to be held on Nov 16 and Dec 7 (with the possibility of minor rescheduling if necessary).
• I will mark the essay, and Daniel Gatien will set and mark the last two tests.
• The marking scheme is now as follows:

  The best 3 tests each count for 25% of the final grade, and the worst test counts for 10% of the final grade, the essay counts for 5% of the final grade, and class participation for 10% of the final grade.
