Research Interests

My main research interests are Lie algebras and central series of groups, infinite Galois theory and pro-p-groups. In my most recent work "Mild pro-p-groups and Galois groups of p-extensions of Q" we introduce a new class of pro-p-groups of cohomological dimension 2. These groups appear amazingly often as Galois groups with restricted ramification, even when there is no ramification at p. The latter groups are very mysterious and closely related to the Fontaine-Mazur Conjecture.
