Text: The textbooks "Introduction to Real Analysis" by Bartle/Sherbert and "Principles of Mathematical Analysis" by Rudin
are recommended but not required. Due to a special character of the honours analysis stream at McGill we will not follow any particular book
and you are urged to attend the classes and take the notes. You may also benefit from Sam Drury's Analysis 2 lecture notes pdf file

Prerequisites: Math 242.
Midterm: There will be 1 (one) two-hour midterm which will count 30% towards your final mark.
The date of the midterm will be posted latter.
Missed midterm cannot be rescheduled. See the marking scheme.
Optional tutorials: There will be a weekly 2 hour optional tutorial every Thursday starting Jan 13, 5-7 pm BURN 1214.
The tutorials are addressed to students who would like to learn about additional topics and more difficult problems not covered in the class.
These topics are not part of the course syllabus and you will not be examined on them.
The tutorials will start in the second week of January and will be given by Alex Tomberg.

Homeworks : Assignments will be posted on the web page and will be due in the class on the announced dates.
Late assignments will not be accepted.

Marking scheme : The final mark will be the maximum of the following:
Homeworks 20%, Midterm 30%, Final 50% OR Homeworks 20%, Final 80% OR Midterm 30%, Final 70% OR Final 100%.
