Intersection theory on surfaces --- A talk for number theorists

Abstract:
I will briefly discuss Hilbert modular surfaces to motivate
intersection theory in singular surfaces, then present two equivalent
intersection theories on such objects. Finally I will briefly
summarize some generalizations of classical results of intersection
theory.
