Information for Students (2009/2010)

• Students are cautioned that they are expected to write quizzes ONLY IN THE TUTORIAL IN WHICH THEY ARE REGISTERED. You do not have a licence to move from one tutorial to another at will. If the tutorial into which you have registered clashes with other classes,the onus is on you to transfer to another tutorial, to change your other classes, or to drop this course; please remember that such changes must be completed by the Course Change (drop/add) deadline (September 15th, 2009).
  
• The course outline is contained in approximately the first 20 pages of Information for Students in MATH 140 2009 09, 2,696,612 bytes, PDF format (.pdf) updated to 14 December, 2009.   This file is updated frequently, and may contain supplementary notes from some of the lecture sections.
  
• There are two servers for WeBWorK. Students whose student number ends with 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 should link to msr02.math.mcgill.ca/webwork2/MATH140_FALL2009; students whose student number ends with 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 should link to msr05.math.mcgill.ca/webwork2/MATH140_FALL2009. Your user name is your 9-digit student number; your initial password is also your 9-digit student number.  If you forget your password, send a message to me at brown@math.mcgill.ca.
• Grades on quizzes will be posted on WebCT, approximately 2 weeks after the date of the quiz. Any corrections to the posted grade should be reported within 1 month after posting, or by the last lecture, whichever date is earlier. WeBWorK grades are posted on the WeBWorK servers.
